Summer knitting
Subscribed to Interweave Knits yesterday in a moment of weakness -- I'd been thinking about it anyway but then I found out that subscribers can download copies of all their reference articles! So I have gotten them all and am learning, learning, learning.
While I was on the site, I checked and found that the patterns for the Summer issue are up with yarn info. Nothing screams "you must make me" but there're several really nice patterns. I think my favorite is the "Juliet Pullover" (although it reminds me a lot of Rosebud, albeit much sleeker). The Snuggly Baby hats are adorable, of course, and the Mosaic Mitts look like a cool project for next winter. I love the Fiesta Tea Set although I'd never actually make it -- I just love the fact that it exists as a published pattern. Several tanks and shells, too, which if you got started now would be done in time for warmer weather. Um, if you lived here or further North, that is! There's a bunch of things that make me go "eh" too though. And the colors are pretty muddy. I don't know why people think "fall colors" = dirty old leaves.
